RX Greater China embraced the spirit of giving through the theme *RXer Cares: A Journey of Love* by organizing a series of local volunteering activities across its offices in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. The Shanghai and Beijing teams continued their support for long-standing charity organizations — Shanghai Baby’s Home and Beijing Stars and Rain — while we also explored new initiatives and collaborated with additional organizations.

As of Sep 10, RX Greater China employees have organized 4 volunteer events, participated by 24 volunteers. Additionally, our charity sales raised nearly RMB10,000 in employee donations, which will be matched by equal company donation.

### Highlights from Our Care Activities

**RX Shenzhen Office** 

This year, the Shenzhen office began engaging with local communities through the *Volunteer Shenzhen* platform, which is run by the Shenzhen Volunteers Federation, promoting the philosophy of "helping others to help themselves" to advance the volunteer movement. 

On August 9, eight enthusiastic volunteers from RX Shenzhen office joined the Fire Safety into the Community event, organized by the Futian District Firefighting Volunteers. Equipped with educational materials and interactive safety demonstrations on the Fire Safety Bus, our team braved the summer heat to distribute fire safety flyers and posters to residents and shop owners, raising awareness about fire prevention and self-rescue techniques.  

On August 30, three compassionate colleagues from Shenzhen participated in a charity sale event organized by the Rainbow Animation Development Center, which is the only organization in Shenzhen that uses animation to support children with special needs. Together, we helped intellectually challenged youth showcase and sell their beautiful oil paintings. In just three hours, over 20 paintings were sold, raising more than RMB1,500. All proceeds went toward art supplies for their studio, empowering these young artists to continue pursuing their dreams.

**RX Shanghai Office** 

Shanghai Baby’s Home, an organization devoted to providing medical care and rehabilitation for orphaned children from across China, has always been a place of love and warmth. These children face numerous challenges and obstacles, yearning for care and support. It is our endeavor to make a difference for them.   

2024 marks the sixth consecutive year of RX Shanghai’s partnership with Baby’s Home. To continue spreading love and kindness, our team organized two key activities: a *Charity Bazaar* and a *Mid-Autumn Festival Craft & Companion Event.* 

On August 23, we hosted a heartwarming charity bazaar at the Shanghai office, featuring items generously donated by management and employees, as well as Baby’s Home. In just under an hour, we raised over 5,400 RMB from the sale of 100 unique items.  

On September 10, days before the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, seven RX Shanghai colleagues, along with five from our sister company Lexis Nexis, visited Baby’s Home to spend the day crafting rabbit lanterns and traditional fans with the children. This creative process ignited the children’s imaginations and they experienced the joy and warmth of holiday celebration. For every handmade toy sewn during the event, RX donated RMB300 to Baby’s Home, further supporting their cause.

**RX Beijing Office** 

In addition to continuing our partnership with Beijing Stars and Rain — China’s first nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children with autism — the RX Beijing team formed a new collaboration with H.O.P.E. Equestrian Therapy Center, the only NPO in China offering equestrian therapy to help individuals with special needs improve their coordination and independence. 

On August 30, the RX Beijing office, in conjunction with LexisNexis Risk Solutions, organized a charity sale to raise funds for Stars and Rain. The sale featured artwork and creative products designed by children with autism, whose work touched the hearts of everyone at the event. 

This year, we also saw the participation of employees’ children as young volunteers, a lovely
reflection of generosity passing from RXers to the next generation.

On September 5, a group of RX and LexisNexis Risk Solutions volunteers visited H.O.P.E. to assist with various tasks, such as cleaning the stables and walking the horses. The unique environment of equestrian therapy fosters intimate interactions between people and animals, offering a safe space for individuals with autism to gradually develop social and emotional connections, enhance physical activity, and improve their overall well-being.
